Abstract:
A total number of 21 0 Rahmani ewes and weaner lambs were used in this study. They were divided into 3 groups:Group I: include 53 pregnant ewes suffered from unthriftiness.Group 11: consisted of 64 non pregnant ewes suffered from unthriftiness.Group Ill: include 48 weaner lambs suffered from unthriftiness.The remaining 30 ewes (15 pregnant & 15 non pregnant) and 15 lambs were clinically normal and served as controlThe present work was planned to study some causes and diagnostic procedures of unthriftiness in sheep, as well as the effect of unthriftiness on some blood parameters includinghaemoglobin concentration, packed cell volume, serum calcium, inorganic phosphorus, magnesium, glucose, totallipids, cholesterol, urea, aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase, cobalt, copper, selenium, zinc, iron, manganese, molybdenum, total serumprotein & protein electrophoretogram and after response to treatment.Also, this study aimed to determine the mineral levels in the cycle that encloses the animal as: animal-plant-soil.
