Comparative histopatholoical studies on the lungs affection of sheep and goats in sherkia province

Abstract:
One hundred and twenty-four cases (84 sheep and 40 goats)were isolated during the course of survey (from JanuarY,1996 toMarch,1998) . Th irty- two CilSCS ( 17 lam bs. 12 adu It sheep.z kids andI adult goat) were died and collected from special farms and othercases (92) were collected from slaughter houses at Sharkiagovernorate .The collected tissues were subjected to microbiologicaland pathological examinatiolls.The incidence and distribution of the lung affections vaned according to age and species of the affected ammals. Mycoplasma was described in 6 adult sheep, 1 Jamb and 2 adult goats (7.2%).Pasteurella was recorded in I I adult sheep, 7 lambs and 7adu!t goats(20.0 %).Coryne. was observed in 6 adult sheep, 2 Jambs and 5goats ( 10.4% ).Staph. was reported in 3 adult sheep C’ 2 Jambs and 3adult goats ( 6.4%) S trept . was seen in 4 adult sheep, 3 adult goatsand 2 kids ( 7.20/0): meanwhile the klebsiella was found in I adultsheep, .2 lambs and 2 adult goats ( 4.0 (%) . E. coli was isolatedfrom I adult sheep, 2 lambs and 2 adult goats ( 4.0%).
