Abstract:
Pasteurellosis occur in. many animals due to infection with Pasteurellamicroorganisms and stress factors especially in the rainy seasons. So·study was done on the nasopharyngeal swabs and lung tissues of 100apparently healthy camels and ] 50 camels with respiratory manifestationwhich were collected from 5 different abattoirs at Sharkia Governorate todetect the prevalence of Pasteurella microorganisms in such animals. Theobtained data revealed that the total incidence percentage of Pasteurellawhich isolated from apparently normal camels was (3 %) while it was(6.66%) in diseased ones. Such incidence was higher if compared with thatisolated from apparently healthy camel.• Biochemical tests were done and the obtained data revealed that all theisolates were belonged to Past. multocida . • The serological examination was done by indirect haemagglutination testand agar gell precipitation test which revealed that: 8 strains (61.5%)were type B:2, on the contrary 5 strains were remained untyped
