Abstract:
The present work was performed to study the effect of probiotic (Roemin W2) as biological control for E. coli infection, danofloxacin as antibacterial drug and E. coli as an infective pathogen.The results of E. coli infected chickesn revealed leukocytosis, herterohilia, lymphocytosis and monocytosis in the 3rd week. Also leukocytosis, heterophilia besides monocytosis was recorded in the 4th week. Heterophilia and monocytosis persisted to the 5tThe Roemin W2 prophylacted chickens proved leukocytosis and lymphocytosis and hyperglobulinemia while albumin globulin ratio decreased among the experimental periods. The lipogram showed a decrease in the serum levels of cholesterol, triglycerides, low deAdministration of danofloxacin (5 mg/kg body weight) for 3 successive days caused a transient increase in the transaminases (ALT & AST), creatinine and uric acid in the 3rd week only.
