Abstract:
Summary:-During the last years, herbicides were used commercially on large scale.Their application increased by introduction of many new compounds.These newly produced herbicides caused a revolution inagriculture all over the world. from those herbicides we choose Atr-azine “Gesaprim” and Glyphosate “Round up” on our experiments.We used fifty apparently healthy Newzelandy male rabbits divided into two groups, each one contains twenty five rabbits and each group divided into five subgroups, each one contains five rabbits.First experiment: Giving rabbits Gesaprim by stomach tube on thefollowing doses and duration: 1- First group : Control untreated2- Second group: Take 1/5 LD50 for 2 days3- Third group : Take 1/10 LD50 for 7 days4- Fourth group : Take 1/20 LD50 for 30 days5- Fifth group : Take 1/40 LD50 for 60 daysSecond experiment: Giving rabbits Round up by stomach tube on the dose and duration as first experiment.Results:I- Haematological changes:-Decrease in red cells count and Hb% in all groups for two experiments. Increase in leucocytic count in all groups of first experiment, on the other hand decrease in leucocytic count in all groups of second experiment.-For differential leucocytic count, we found in the first experiment significant increase in lymphocytes and monocytes, but heterophils and oesinophils showed non-significant increase on all groups, but in the second experiment, we found significant decre
