Abstract:
A total of 72 raw buffalo’s milk samples as well as 48 yoghurt andkareish cheese samples (24 each) were collected from three districts, Also,18 butter samples were collected from nine districts, Sharkia Governorate. All samples were extracted, clean up and analyzed by gas liquidchromatography for determination of organochlorine pesticide residues. Also, the effect of heat treatment on pesticide residues found in rawbuffalo’s milk and butter was studied.1- Organochlorine pesticide residues in raw buffalo’s milk:p,p’-DDE was the only detected organochlorine pesticide residues inall examined samples, it varies from 0.899 to 4.714 with a mean value of2.7298±0.1126 ppb. Its concentration was ranged from 0.899 to 4.714 witha mean of 1.215±0.1 0 1 ppb, in samples collected from Zagazig, while insamples collected from Abo-Hammad, it varied from 0.990 to 4.021 with amean of2.501±0.307 ppb on milk basis. Also, p,p’-DDE lies between 0.998and 4.557 with an average of 1.634±0.203 ppb in samples collected from Fakous. In relation to season, the winter exhibits the highest concentration of p,p’-DDE, which ranged from 1.998 to 4.021 with a mean of3.054±0.149 ppb, while in spring it varied fromduring summer having p,p’-DDE was ranged from 0.899 to 3.78 with amean of 1.989±0.201 ppb on milk basis, but in samples collected duringautumn, the values lie between 2.331 and 4.714 with a mean of2.832±0.265 ppb, on milk basis. All values of p,p’ -DDE in all examined
