Abstract:
In this work, blood serum, lymph nodes, spleen, testes and pregnant uterus samples were collected from 54animals of which 44sheep ,3 rams and 7 goats through Sharkia Veterinary DirectorateIn this investigation the sera of 54 animals were subjected to serologicaltest including rose Bengal plate test (REPT) , tube agglutination test(TAT) and buffered plate agglutination test (BP A T)the obtained resultsrevealed that number of positive reactors were54 , 48and 54 respectively. Bacteriological examination of 44 lymph nodes ,44spleen and 2 unopened pregnant uterus collected from 44 slaughtered serological positive sheep reveled isolation of 49 Brucella straPlacentome ,1 isolate from foetal fluids , 2 from foetal spleen ,1 fromfoetal liver ,2 from foetal membranes and 2 from fetal intestinal content- from two closed pregnant uterus . whereas , bacteriologicalexamination of 3 lymph nodes ,3 spleen and 3 testis collected from 3slaughtered serological positive rams reveled isolation of 9 Brucellastrain ,3 from lymph nodes(1 00% ),3 from spleen (100%) and 3 fromtestes (100%). And bacteriological examination of 7 lymph nodes and7spleen collected from 7 slaughtered serological positive goats reveledisolation of 7 Brucella strain ,7 from lymph nodes(1 00%) and 0.0 fromspleen (0.0%) . All isolates were typed as B. melitensis biovar 3 The end results of bacteriological examination showed that:- isolation of 33Brucella strains (6l.11 %) from 54 lymph nodes(51 supra mammary and 3 inguinal lymph nodes) of slaughtered serolopositive animals
