Abstract:
The object of this study was to investigate the most important clinical abnormalities of calves in response to vitaminC deficiency and determination the blood plasma ascorbic acidm pneumonic, diarrheic & alopecic calves comparatively withauto-control group, also to declare the correlation betweenvitamin C status and the levels of immunoglobulins in thediseased calves in comparison with the auto-control group.As well as especial reference to hematological and biochemical investigation and also to discuss the role of vitamin C in controlling and avoidance such diseased condition through its immunostimulant and antioxidant effect which resulted in agood calves health.Our study was conducted on a private calf breeding farm of Dr. Mahmoud EI-Bayoumy at Aga-Dakahlia Governorate ,a total number of one hundred and twenty diseased calves incomparison with other twenty apparently normal ones which served as a auto control group, all calves housed in the fore mentioned farm and were examined.Rpresentive samples of whole blood and serum were obtained and subjected to laboratory investigation.
