Abstract:
One hundred freshly dead or diseased rabbits of various ages werecollected from different localities at Sharkia govemorate. The collectedrabbits were subjected to clinical and for pathological examination atDepartment of poultry disease - Faculty of Vet. Med. Zagazig University.Bacterial isolation and identification were carried out on theexamined rabbits, E. coli, Pasteurella multocida, Staph aeureus,Klebsiella pneumonia, Pseudomonas aeruoginosa, Bordetellabronchiseptica and salmonella species could be isolated with a frequencypercentage of (9.86%), (17.10%), (27.63%), (20.39), (13.15%), (11.18%)and (0.6%) respectively according to total bacterial isolates. The seasonalvariation among examined rabbits were discussed.Trials for bacterial isolation and identification of (152) isolateswere isolated from examined rabbits and were biotyped into E. coli,Pasteurella multocida, Staph aeureus, Klebsiella pneumonia,Pseudomonas aeruoginosa, Bordetella bronchiseptica and Salmonellaspecies (15, 26, 42, 31, 20,17 and one) isolate respectively.Serotyping of (10) out of (15) isolates of E. coli revealed, four E.coli serogroups. 2 (078), 2 (044), 1 (0111), 5 (0128) and the remaining(5) isolates couldn’t be serologically typed. The isolated E. coli 0128 serotype, Pasteurella multocida, Staphaeureus, Klebsiella pneumonia,
