Abstract:
There are nwny types ofanimals skin affections in Egypt, such asviral, bacterial, fungal, parasitic, thermal and chemical burn affections. These affections differ in their effect on the different body tissues andorgans, and may cause general debility or loss of animals life. Also, suchskin affections decrease the wool, milk and or meat production. The mostcommon skin affections were studied in this work. The aim of this work isto study the clinicopathologic and histopathologic changes as a result tothe various skin affections, beside isolation and identification of thecausative agents. Two main experiments wcre donc:Experil11ent-l:49 adult male New 7ealand white rabbits were divided into7 equal groups (gps.1-7), as follows:-11,crl11al burns (gps.l alld 2):The animals of gps.l and 2 were subjected to 2nd-degree and 3rd-degree thermal burn respectively by using hot water on about 20% of totalbody surface area. The blood picture revealed normocytic normochromicanemia 111 rabbits of gp.l (after 15 days) and gp.2 (after 5,15 and 25 dayspost burn (PB)). Anemia was more severe in gp.2 than gp.I. leukocytosis, neutrophilia and eosinophilia were seen specially in gp.2. Alsomonocytosis was found after 15 and 25 days PB in gp.2. Urinalysisshowed oligouria in the first 5 days PB followed by polyuria specially ingp.2 after 15 and 25 days. Hematuria, hyaline and cellular casts weredetected in urine of burnt rabbits. Biochemical analysis of serum in gp.2showed significant increase of serum creatinine (Ser), blood urea nitrogen(BUN), total, direct and indirect bilirubin values, alanine amino transferase
