Abstract:
Three dairy cattle farms in Sharkia govemorate were examined to study the hygienic condition cattle manure samples in different seasons and available treatment &” management procedures to minimize the prevalence of some pathogens in cattle manure. The obt2- Highest manure temperature was recorded in summer (31.36°C±0.14), followed by autumn (27.33°C±0.396), spring (22.30°C±0.43) and lastlywinter (l7.76°C±0.328).3- Highest moisture content in manure samples was recorded in winter(85.53%±0.161), followed by spnng (84.22%±0.193), autumn(80.94%±0.353) and lastly summer (76.36%±0.239).4- Highest pH-value of manure samples was recorded In winter(7.3±O.027), followed by spring (7.04±0.036), autumn (6.72±0.027)and lastly summer (6.55±0.O 16).5- There was a seasonal variation In the total coliform count andprevalence of salmonella species In cattle manure samples. It washighest in summer and lowest in winter.
