Some studies on Vitamin A and its relation to other diseases in small ruminants

Abstract:
This work was planned to study the relation between vitamin A and some sheep diseases like bronchopneumonia, dietetic enteritis, gastrointestinal nematodes, alopecia and mange.A total number of one hundred Egyptian balady sheep (2-5 years old) and of bothGroup (I) included (20) sheep proved to be clinically healthy andserved as control. Group (ll) consisted of (14) sheep suffered frombronchopneumonia. Group (Ill) included (15) sheep suffered from dietetic enteritis. Group (IV) consisted of (17) sheep that infested with gastrointestinal nematodes.Group (V) consisted of (22) sheep suffered from alopecia. Group (VI) included (12) sheep affected with mange. The diseased as well as clinically healthy sheep were subjected to the following investigations:Identification and tracing the clinical findings associated with diseased conditions.
