Bacteriological Studies on Salmonella Enteritidis In Food products of Animal Origin

Abstract:
Poultry industry is considered to be as a backbone for providing consumers with animal protein. As a result of such increase of investment rate in this industry, there is an increase in the possibility of infection with Salmonella microorganisms which leainvestigate the possible evidence of salmonella microorganism Insome food products of animal origin such as eggs, poultry carcassesand frozen red meat.Also, ELISA test has been done to detect the possible existenceof Salmonella enteritidis antibodies in chicken serum .Five hundred and forty samples were collected from them, two hundred and fifty egg samples were randomly collected from different shops in Zagazig City. Hundred samples from poultry carcasses collected from kitchens of Zagazig University, hospitals and rekitchens of Zagazig University, hospitals and restaurants and 90serum samples from layers flock from different layer farms in Menya Al Qameh in Sharkia Governorate for the serodetection of Salmonella enteritis antibodies by using ELISA. The obtainedresults revealed that:1- The isolated organisms from examined samples revealed that many organism were incriminated to be the cause of food infection.
