Effect Of Omega-3 Enriched Oil on Some physiological Parameters In Goat

This study was planned to study the effect of intravenously infused fish oil emulsion (omegaven) for short-term on some physiological parameters in goatThe study was carried out at Physiology Department, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Zagazig University. In the present study fifteen immature female Baladi goat weighed 13±0.8 kg and aged 7.5±0.4 months were used. These animals were raised in the ClinicalFaculty of Veterinary Medicine, Zagazig University for 14 days before the beginning of the experiment and kept on balanced diet.The goats were divided into two groups, the first is composed of nme animals subjected to injection with omegaven (10%) in a dose of 2 ml/kg B. W daily for 7 days and the second group is composed of six animals and kept as control for analysis of fatty acinjection of omegaven and 24 hours after the last injection for determination of platelets count. Plasma samples were separated fordetermination of PT, APTT, factors Vll, X, fibrinogen, calcium, cholesterol, triacylglycerol, HDL, LDL and quantitative determination of linoleic, linolenic and arachidonic acids in platelets wall. Another samples from the muscles were taken from all slau
