Clinicopathological studies on some surgical Interference in Rabbits

Abstract:
The present study was carried out on 38 clinically healthy adult Newzeland rabbits of both sexes 1-2 months ’old and weighting about (1.5-2 kg). They were divided into five groups. Rabbits of the first group were (10) subjected to 25% partial hepatectomy laparotomy (operated control). Rabbits of the fifth group left normal (normalcontrol). Two rabbits from groups I, 11 and III were sacrificed at 4 weeksand another two rabbits from the same groups were sacrificed at 8 weeksand two rabbits from the 3rd group were sacrificed at 16 weeks post operation for histopathological studies. Two rabbits from group I showed stitch abscess and sacrificed at 2 weeks postoperation and examined histopathological only. The technique used wasfrom each experimental animaltwo blood samples were collected weekly for haematological and biochemical changes post-operation for 8 weeks.
