Abstract:
Summary:- Antioxidant drugs play a vital role in defense systems in vivoagainst oxidative stress induced by free radicals and reactiveoxygen species. Ascorbic acid and a-tocopherol are widely used tomaintain the health of people and prevent diseases.The present study was conucted to throw the light on theprotective effect of ascorbic acid, a-tocopherol and theircombination on hepatotoxicity in male rats.Experimental design:Sixty male rats (250 - 300 g) were used in this study and theywere divided into twelve equal groups, each of five rats as follows:1 SI group received 1 ml/kg b.wt normal saline solution forseven successive days (control).2nd group received 1 ml/kg b.wt normal saline solution forfourteen successive days (control).
