Some studies on clostridial infections in birds

Abstract:
I-A total of ( 419) birds were Collected from (81 ) Flocksrepresenting ( 255.625 ) birds in the different ages and species collected from different localities at Sharki Province.2- One hundred and fifty one ( 151 ) of Clostridial isolates in this work could be serotyped into (]] 0) strains of Clostridium perfringens and ( 41 ) strains of Clostridium Sordellii with frequency percentage ( 40 % ) and ( 15 % ) respectively while the examined birds were ( 66 % ). The frequency percentage of ClostridiumPerfringens type A and Clostridium sordel1ii isolation were ( 40 % ) and( ] 5 0/0) respectively. 4- High mortality rate was recorded from inoculated groups with (0.5 ml) every I/ml contain 10 viable organisme with Clostridium perfringens type A via I / M . inoculation While, nomortalities were recorded in groups inoculated orally with ( O.lml )ofClostridium Sordellii.
