Abstract:
The multiple antibiotic resistance is considered to be one of thecharacteristic features of aeromonas microorganisms and its investigation is necessary to many practioneers as well as their resistance to different agents so this study was planned as a trial toclarif’y the following items:-1- The antibiogram pattern of aeromonas isolates collected from different sources before and after plasmid curing2- Plasmid profiles of aeromonas strains and their relationship withantibiotic resistance and some virulence characters.3- Transference of drug resistance determinants of tested aeromonas strains by using genetic methods.4- Elimination or curing of R -plasmids of aeromonas by chemical methods and studying effect of such curing on its biological characters.5- Determination of the physical characters of aeromonas plasmidsand their ultrastructure by using electron microscope. For attaining this goal the following points were undertaken:-1- Isolation and characterization of aeromonas strains from differentsources.2- Testing of their antibiogram before and after plasmid curing.3- Isolation and purification of their plasmids DNA and determination the plasmid profiles by agarose gelelectrophoresis as well as studying their haemolytic activity, their
