Parasitic infestation among farm animals is considered to be one ofthe most important problems which induce death or decrease animalproduction. Parasitic diseases in sheep and goats production are sometimesso serious is that influenced with great losses mainly due to mortalitieswhich reached to 30-40% especially in newly born animals. This work was directed to evaluate the efficacy of Valbazen whichcontain Albendazole as an active principle against’ gastrointestinalnematodes in sheep under three main headings:1- First part: Study the effect of administration of Valbazen atnormal therapeutic dose (2 ml/lO kg B.W.) in normal non-infected sheep with G.I.N.:F or studying the effect of Val bazen on normal non infected sheep, ten apparently healthy male and female sheep were used in this experiment.Faecal examination was carried out weekly for 4 weeks to make sure thatthese animals were clinically free from infection before beginning of thestudy. The animals were given the drug orally at once in a dose rate of (2ml/lO kg B.W.). Non-significant changes in all haematological and somebiochemical parameters was recorded without the appearance of anyabnonnal clinical signs in treated sheep as the appetite still normal, nosystemic reaction with normal faecal pellets.
