Abstract:
pastteurella haemolytica is an important primary cause of respiratory disease, septicemia and mastitis in sheep and is also an important secondary invader in respiratory disorders of ruminants. This study was planned to spotli~hts on : Isolation and identification of P. haemolytica, serological diagnosis of P. haemolytica and testing antibiotic sensitivity pattern of these microorganisms to select the highly potent one to eliminate such misroorgTo establish this goal the folowing points were undertaken:•Total of 580 samples were collected from sheep breed in different localities in Sharkia governorate.•280 samples of naso pharyngeal swabs of animals (200 samples from apparently health and 80 from diseased animals) and 300 lung samples of animals (100 samples from apparently healthy and 200 from pneumonic lung).•Cultural characteristics, were done: these isolates proved to be P. haemolytica .•Biochemical characteristics, were donebetween isolates.to differentiate• Serological. haemolyticatest.dignosis was done : to diagnosis of P.isolates by using rapid plate agglutination test.
