Abstract:
Ninety adult male albino rats divided into 9 equal groups each of ten were employed for this study. Theaverage body weight of each rat ranged between 150-200 gm. Group (1) control: They were kept as normal controlwithout any treatment . Group (2) liver impairement group : This group wereinjected S.C.once with 0.23 ml of carbon tetrachloride suspensionll OOgm. b. wt.Animals of this group weresacrificed after 48 hours.Blood samples were collected for serum collection to estimate the following biochemical variables (Lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),Alkaline phosphatase(ALP), Serum transferases(sAL T & sAST) , total proteins(TP), Albumin,Globulins,AIGratio, creatinine and uric acid.Tissue samples from livers, kidney were collected in jars containing 10% formalin for histopathological examination. Group (3) renal impairement group: Each rat in thisgroup was injected i.m daily for 10 successive days with 1.0 ml gentamicin solution (3.l5mg/l00gm .b.wt.).Afterthat animals were sacrificed and blob samples were collected for preparation of serum for estimation of theprevious parameters .Also samples from liver and kidneys were collected for histopathological examination.Group (4) Streptomycin group: Each rat in this group was i.m, injected daily for 10 days with 12.6mgstreptomycin 1100 gm b.wt. Blood samples and tissue samples were collected in the same manner as the. prevIous groups.
