Abstract:
Saporlegniasis one of the most important fungal diseases in fishcaused by Sapro/egnia species which induces severe economic losses infish. The present study was conducted to throw light on the efficacy ofcopper sulphate or methylene blue against natural infection with• Sapro/egnia in catfish with special reference to their side effects.Experimental design: 60 catfish (C/arias /azera) non infected with Saprolegnia were divided into 3 groups, each of 20 fish. The first group was non infected non treated (kept as control) and the second group was non infected treated with copper sulphate (Another 60 catfish (Clarias lazera) naturally infected with Saprolegnia were grouped into 3 groups, each of20 fish. The first group was naturally infected non treated, the second group was naturally infected treated with copper sulphate (4 mg/I ) for 21 d
