Abstract:
Pasteurellosis as a debilitating disease occur in man and many animals due to either endogenous or exogenous infection with Past. microorganisms especially under stress condition. Sothis study was done to detect the prevalence rate of suchmicroorganisms in the nasal swabs originated from 105 apparently healthy rabbits and 154 diseased ones. Such samples were collected from 6 different peasantry or Governmentalrabbit farms at Sharkia Governorate. The obtained data revealed that the prevalence rate of Past.multocida which was isolated from apparently healthy rabbits was (4.8%) while it was (12.3%) in diseased ones. Such incidence was higher if it is compared with that isolated fromapparently healthy rabbits. With regard to biochemical tests, the obtained data revealed that all isolates were belonged to Past. multocida.
