Abstract:
The environment plays a predominant role in the health of human andanimals. The presence of harmfully ingredients in the environment causes its pollution which can occur in the atmosphere, soil, sea and in water. Water pollution, one of the major problems allover the world, this problem is found as a result of many factoHeavy metals become a potential hazard for human and animals. Therefore, themain aim of the present thesis is to investigate the toxic effects of copper and line in rats. An experiment model was chosen to study these effects.Sixty male rats were used in this study. The animals were divided intotwo main groups 30 for each, one of them for copper sulphate effect and theother for zinc sulphate effect. Each group was divided into 3 equal subgroups, one for them considered as a control group and other two subgroups as treated iroups. Copper was administered at a concentration of 50, 100 mg copper/liters 11 drinking water, mple. Triglycerides, total cholesterol, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, low ~nsity lipoprotein cholesterol, very low density lipoprotein cholesterol, total steins, albumin, globulins, albumin/globulin ratio, copper, zinc, iron and 1anganese were det
