This study have been desigend to investigate various effects ofsingle treatment with cadmium chloride, sodium selenite and leadacetate and combined treatment with cadmium chloride either plussodium selenite or plus lead acetate. on the liver and kidney ofexposed rats along 3 months. These; .metal salts are soluble in water;J”The study aimed to detect the residues of these metals singly orin combination, and also their histopathological and ultrastructuralalterations produced in the liver and kidneys of exposed animals.Sixty mature male lmamichi Wistar rats of about 270 g were dividedinto six groups each of 10 animals.- The first group exposed to 270 ppm cadmium chloride in thedrinking water.- The second group exposed to 51 ppm sodium selenite in thedrinking water.- The third group exposed to both cadmium chloride plus sodiumselenite in the drinking water at the same rate reported before.- The fourth group administered lead acetate 270 ppm in thedrinking water.- The fifth group concurrently exposed to cadmium chloride andlead acetate at the same later reported doses in the drinking water.- The sixth group kept as control recevied only tap water.
