Clinicopathological Studies on some Immunosuppressor Drugs in Albino Rats

One hundred and twenty clinically healthy female albino rats wereclassified into five gruops. The first group consist of 24 rats administeredtherapeutic dose of cyclophosphamide (4 mg/kg b.wt. daily) for 45 days and8 animals were sacrificed every 15 days postadministration. The secondgroup of 24 rats administered double therapeutic dose of cyclophosphamide(8 mg/kg b.wt. daily) for 45 days and eight animals were sacrificed every 15days post administration. The third group consist of 24 rats administeredtherapeutic dose of methotrexate (10 mg/kg b.wt. weekly for 45 days) andeight animals were sacrificed every 15 days post administration. The fourthgroup of 24 rats administered double therapeutic dose of methotrexate (20mg/kg b.wt. weekly) and 8 rats were sacrificed every 15 days postadministration for 45 days. The fifth group, including 24 rats, wasintragastric administered saline (2 ml/rat) for 45 days and 8 rats weresacrificed every 15 days.
