Four species of rabbits (New Zealand pure species, New Zealand cross-breed species which resulted from female New Zealand X male Balady, Balady cross-breed species which resulted from female Balady X male New Zealand and Balady pure species) were used in lipids, free fatty acids and phospholipids. Four females kept as control for the all groups of rabbits (one for each group). All the rabbits were raised under a balanced ration which firstly started from the obtaining of the two !:,TfOUpS of cross-breedinInstitute (ARRI), Al-Ahram, Giza, Egypt according to a scientific planeproposed by the’ institute. The pure species of New Zealand and Baladyrabbits have been brought from 2 special farms in Saft El-Laban andHelwan, Giza, Egypt. All the rabbits were sexually mature at age of 6-8months, of body weight ranged between 2.1-3.2 ± 0.20 kg. Plasma andsenun samples were collected from all rabbits at the day before mating(a-day) and the days during pregnancy I?”, 141\21st and 281h) and afterparturition (the day 3tHl). The results revealed that there was asignificant decrease in the total protein level at the day 141\ 21 sI ofpregnancy and a significant increase at the day zs” of pregnancy, then atthe day 321\J (2 days after parturition) the levels return near to the normal values which recorded in the control !,TfOUp and the day-O before mating.
