Abstract:
Great attention was directed toward camel research in many regionsof the world, because camels play an important socio-economic role withinthe pastoral and agricultural systems in dry and semidry zones of Asia andAfrica. Furthermore, the survival of millions of human beings is dependenton the camel in such areas where it produces milk, meat, wool, hides andserve for riding. In addition, the camels gained a special importance andattention, owing to its ability and habit to survive in the difficult condition during severe prolonged drought strikes when other animals cease to produce or die out.Biochemical analysis of blood can often provide valuable information concerning health and sickness. This work represents an effortto describe some data concerning blood of dromedary camel of different age and sex. A total of 66 male and female one-humpedCamels under study were classified as follow:Group No.Male under 4.5 years 19Female under 4.5 years 5Male 5-7.5 years 14Female 5-7.5 years 5Male over 7.5 years 13Female over 7.5 years 5Pregnant she-camel 5
