Abstract:
In poultry keeping, there are many system involved, Accordingly itis usually now to find very large number of layers kept in deep litter and battery systems. The conventional system for raising layers is to raisethem on a proper system and to provide the essentials of comfort andsanitation. The aim of this work is to determine the effect of two systemsof egg production houses (cage system and deep litter system), used inEgypt under the prevailing farm conditions. On some of the productioncharacteristics in different layer breeds (Lohmann Selected Leghorn,Dekalb, Hisex brown, Golden line) over a period of four years.To obtained results revealed the followings:1- Temperature:During summer season the mean of maximum temperature inboth cage and deep litter system were 33°C and 31.4DC, and theminimum were 18.5 and 17.3°C in cage system deep litter system,respectively. In autumn the maximum temperature were 27.1 DC and28°C in cage and deep litter system, while. The minimum temperaturewere 17.3DC and 15.IDC.In winter the maximum temperature were 19.8 and 20DC in cageand deep litter system. While the minimum temperature were 13.6DCand 9DC in cage and deep litter system, respectively.
