Abstract:
One hundred and eighty catfish were divided into 3 groups to study the pathological lesions following exposure to some pollutants (glyphosate as herbicide and malathion as insecticide). Group 1 kept ascontrol, group 2 exposed to glyphosate and group 3 expThe parenchymatous organs of fish exposed to two pesticides wereexhibited degenerative changes or coagulative necrosis, congestion,hemorrhages, periductular fibrosis and lymphocytic aggregations inliver. The hepatopancrease revealed inactivation and loss of zymogenicgranules beside vascular damage of their blood vessesl. The gills showed partial or complete sloughing of secondary lamellar epithelial or focal hypertrophy and hyperplasia particularly on
