Summary:-Eels can be suitable species for culture because of its relativerusticity and other advantages such as its adaptability to artificial food,tolerance of variation in temperature and salinity and high stockingdensities. The present study was carried out at fish farm in El Manzaladistrict and at fish Research Canter Faculty of Ver. Med, ZagazigUniversity to investigate.1] The growth performances and healthy condition of eels in fish pondevery six months this all over 2 years Some factors affecting health and survival of eel fish2].a)Experimental study: the effect of absolute nutritional deficiency(starvation) on eel fishb) Field study Problems facing eel culture.i) Cannibalism syndrome.ii) Digging syndrome .iii) Cannibalism syndrome .3] Some parasitic diseases affecting cultured and wild eels.1) Growth performances of eel fish in pond (field study) :A total number of 5000 elvers (average body weight 1 gm) werecultured in private fish farm in El-Manzala district (nursing pond) for 2seasons (l year) after this period 2750 eel fish were harvested andtransported to another pond (production pond) with average body weight
