Prophylaxis of Calves against pasteurellosis by bacterin

I - Isolation and identifcation of P. multocida and P. haemolyticaorganisms were carred out from nasopharyngeal swabs andpneumonic lungs of 207 slaughtered calves at 5 abattoirs in Sharkiaprovmce . a - 6 P. multocida strains from nasopharynx in percentage (2.89%) and 7 strains from pneumonic lungs (3.33%). * - Serotyping of the obtained isolates usmg indirect haemagglutination test revealed that (13) P. multocida strains were belonged to t* - The biotyping tests revealed that the ”31” P. haemolytica isolates were (24) biotype ”A” 77.45%, (7) biotype ”T” 22.55% . c- P. multocida was isolated more frequent in buffaloe calves(5.55%) while in cow calves it was 0.19% from nasopharyngeal swabs P
