Abstract:
The present study was carried out on 187 male balady rabbits ranging10 days-old of the prenatal life, till reaching the maturity age (4-6months-old postnatally). The whole embryo and the caudal half of the foetusfrom the gonadal level were taken. Also, the postnatal organs of the malegenital system were fixed and prepared by different histological and somehistochemical techniques and were examined by light and binoculardissecting microscopes. The specimens used for the study of thevascularization of the male genital system either; prenatally or postnatally were injected by both Indian ink/serum and coloured milk latex. Some ofthese materials were injected by urovideo for angiographic study. Theformer . specimens were dissected and examined under binocular dissectingThe development of the male genital system of balady rabbit and itsvasculogenesis could be divided into two main stages: 1- The indifferentstage of development and II- The development of male genitalia with itsvasculature including: the testis, epididiymis, descent of the testis andepididymis, ductus deferens, the accessory genital glands and the externalThe main obtained results were summarized in the following points:The genital ridge and the caudal end of the primitive gut were detectedat 10 days-old prenatally.
