Abstract:
In the paste, the primary focus of researches regarding the effect ofman made chemicals has been on their capacity to act as mutagen or toinduce gross abnormalities after administering, and that withoutregarding to disruptive effects of these chemicals in organism body, therefore, today the world toward to biochemical studies to evaluate theeffects of medicinal plants on different metabolism in organisms.Hawthorn leaves, berries and bossoms contain biologically activeflavonoid and their glycosides, triterpene saponins and amines as themain constituents, these constituents probably contribute collectively tothe hypocholesterolemic effect of TCR, and it was used in herbal medicine as a heart tonic, hypertension, angina pectoris, arthritis, rheumatism, sedative and in treatment insomnia. Today, hawthorn is used primarily for various cardiovascular conditions. The animals were distributed to five group:NG: Normal group (20 rats) received normal diet, AG:Atherogenic group (20 rats) rats received atherogenic diet, the otherthree groups TAG: treated atherogenic group (20 rats each) rats werereceived atherogenic diet and administered Egyptian TCR sinaica extract daily by a doses of 0.25, 0.5 and l.0 ml/lOOg. b.w respectively for 3 and 6 weeks. In the present work biochemical studies were carried out to evaluatethe effect of oral administration of TCR extract on male albino rats for 3and 6 weeks., Serum samples was taken and prepared for determinationof the following parameters:
