Abstract:
Cperfringens considered one of the most widely occunng pathogenic bacterium that distributed in soil and. intestines of many animal species as normal commensals. On bases of major toxins production, the species of C.perfringens.divided into different types. C.perfringens type B produce beta majortoxins and it cause dysentry in newly born lambs.Monoclonal antibodies have been developed against beta toxin thataid in detection of the toxin and antitoxin units and thus used in diagnosis of lamb dysentry as well as used in quality control of vaccines produced against type B of C. perfringens .In our work, for preparation of specific monoclonal antibodiesagainst beta toxin of Cperfringens type B , four BALB/c mice were immunized by three successive doses with interval three weeks for each using the prepared beta toxoid, while the booster dose was injected three days before fusion by the prepared beta toxitechnique before fusion that gave positive readings at dilution 111600.Spleenocytes from the immunized mice were harvested and fused with myeloma cells that was of high viability and HGPRT deficient, the resultant hybrid cells having both the properties of immortality and
