Efficacy of some new anthelmintic drugs in the treatment of parasitic diseases in sheep

Abstract:
Five hundreds and sixty five native breed sheep 6 month - 5years age allocated in special flocks pastured on grazing land anddistributed in 4 different localities in Sharkia and Ismalia. There wereno strategic systems for controlling parasitic diseases. They weresubjected to clinical and parasitological investigation. The clinical examination of these sheep revealed 194 animal apparently normal and 37 J animals showing different clinical sings as diarrhea, emaciation, pale or icteric mucous membranes, easily detaclinical sings revealed 265 sheep shed gastrointestinal nematodes eggsonly (700-1400 EPC; with average 1050, and 16 sheep shed fasciolaeggs only (600-1200 ErG with average 900 EPG) while, there were 4sheep shed both gastrointestinal nematodes of Fasciola eggs. The highest rate of infestation by gastrointestinal nematodes and Fasciola was recorded in EL-Qurine city (71.680/0) followed by Abou- Harnad (68.\ 0/0) and Fakous (44.880/0) while the lowest ra
