Fifty-six guinea-pigs (1-2 month old) of both sex e s we r e used to in v est i gat e the ab i 1 i t Y 0 f Par a s-caris equorum larvae to protect guinea pigs against fascioliasis. Twelve guinea pigs were infested with30 FGM and kept as control (gp. 1). Twelve guinea-pigs (gp.2) were infested with 3000 EPE, in single dose (8guinea pigs as subgp. A.) and sacrificed 4, 9, 40 and 70 day PI, and multiple doses from EPE with 1 weekinterval (4 guinea-pigs as subgp. B.) and sacrificed 10 and 40 day after the last dose. Twenty-two guineapigs (gp.3) were primarily infested with 3000 EPE and challenged with 30 FGM after 7 day (6 guinea-pigs assubgp. A) and after 30 day (8 guinea-pigs as subgp.B) and sacrificed 30, 60, 90 and 100 day PC. The remain- ing (8) guinea pigs of gp.3 were primarily infested with 3 doses of EPE with 1 week interval and challen- ged with 30 FGM, 2 week after the last dosubgp. C). Ten guinea-pigs were kept as uninfested control (gp. 4).Gps 2, 3 and 4 showed no mortalities. All the guinea-pigs, infested with 30 FGM (gp. 1) died.The hepatic were represented lesions, in gp. I were by numerous migratorysevere. they tracks which maintain the health of people and prevent diseases.The present study was conucted to throw the light on theprotective effect of ascorbic acid, a-tocopherol and theircombination on hepatotoxicity in male rats.Experimental design:Sixty male rats (250 - 300 g) were used in this study and theywere divided into twelve equal groups, each of five rats as follows:1 SI group received 1 ml/kg b.wt normal saline solution forseven successive days (control).2nd group received 1 ml/kg b.wt normal saline solution forfourteen successive days (control).
