Abstract:
A survey was made on camels for detection of the incidence of the ocular diseases , their prevailence , causes , symptoms and treatment . Forty-five camels with different ocular affections were diagnosed from 600 examined camels from Sharkia , Behaira , Kdescemetocele ( 1 case ) , hyphaema ( 5 cases ) , iridocyclitis ( 1 case ) and cataract ( 2 cases ) Blepharitis was found to be due to parasitic infestation withsarcoptic mange. Cases diagnosed with conjunctivitis were mainly of the catarrhal type . Chronic cases need the systemic injection of broad - spectorum antibiotics beside the local ;treatment .
