Abstract:
The presentwork wasplanned to study some physio-logical changes in the blood,ovarian and uterinetissues of buffaloes during the oestrous cycle and gestation periods.Thirty non pregnant and sixty pregnant buffaloes were used. The non pregnant buffaloes collected andslaughtered in Cairo abattoir, while the pregnantones, were selected from El-khatara farm in Sharkia province after being examined by rectal palpationto confirm pregnancy. During the period of experiment, the animals were kept under veterinary respect toavoid any complications which may accompany pregnancy.The samples include plasma, ovarian and uterine tissues to determinethe following parameters: calcium,phosphorup,magnesium, manganese, zinc and copper.THE RESULTS CAN BE SUMMARI ZED AS FOLLOWS:1- Changes of Some Elements in Non Pregnant Buffaloes:A- Plasma Levels:Calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and copper. The plasm levels of these elements in the non pregnantbuffaloes revealed a significantincrease in the
