Abstract:
The present experiment was performed to study the effect of E. stiedae infection on biochemical and immune parameters in rabbits .. Also, to investigate the effect of Toltrazuril as anticoccidial. This study applied on 45 New Zealand white rabbits one monThe 1st group kept as healthy control, the 2nd group infected with 10,000 sporulated oocysts of E. stiedae , while the 3rd group infected with 10,000 sporulated oocysts of E.stiedae then treated on the 7th day post infection with Toltrazuril 1ml/litrein drinking water for 5 successive days. The blood samples obtained 1,2 and 4 weeks PI in gp. t and PT in gp. 3Results of gp. 2 revealed that hepatic coccidiosis manifested by rough hair , inappetance , mild diarrhoea and hepatomegaly. The clinico-biochemical analysis showed very highly significant increase in ALT and AST beside highly significantincrease in AP along the experimental period , in addition to hyperbilirubinemia caused by an increase in direct, indirectand total bilirubin levels in all duration. The proteinogram of infected group showed non significant change in total protein in all periods. There werehypoalbuminemia and hyperglobulinemia allover the durations .There was a significant increase in alpha globulin
