Abstract:
There were many studies take place on the effect of different levels of fat in diets on body fuel metabolism, but they not put in their mined the effect of the different types of fatty acids in body fuel metabolism. So, this research was planed to study tbody fuel metabolism using two different oils, one of them rich in PUFA concerned with the antioxidant effect of these oils. In our study a total of 150 male sprague - Dawley rats, 120+ 1 0 gm/B.w. were used .The rats under study, were accommodated at the animalhouse in faculty of Vet. Medicine, Zagazig University for 15 days beforethe experiment, and kept on basal.diet.Rats under study were classified into five groups as follows:Group A: Fed control diet. Group B : Fed corn oil supplemented diet. Group C: Fed corn oil and n-tochopherols supplemented diet. Group D:Fed olive oil supplemented diet. Group E: Fed olive oil and u-tochophcrols supplemented diet.Blood and liver samples from rats under study were used fordetermination of blood glucose, GSH, G6PD.
