Abstract:
The present investigation was dealt with prevalent surgicalaffections which affect the urogenital system of small ruminants duringthe period from November 1997 to May 2000.This work was decorated to record the cases suffered from suchaffections and throw light on the prevalent ones. Special effort of interestwas given to record the incidence of such affections, the history of theaffected cases clinical signs, clinical and laboratory diagnosis including,bacteriological, biochemical, and histopathological investigations. Inaddition , radiographic examination was performed when seen indicated.Many improvements in surgical and medical managements of theseaffections was documented in this investigation.A total number of 2053 sheep and goats admitted to the surgeryclinic, Faculty of Veterinary. Medicine. at Moshtohor with many variouscongenital and acquired affections. The study was conducted on 913animals out of them 608 animals (186 sheep & 422 goats) were observedaffected with many various congenital and acquired surgical affections illthe urogenital system, the remaining 303 animals were presented forcastration. •In the present study 194 animals (44 sheep and 150 goats) wererecorded to be suffered from various congenital affections in theurogenital system with an incidence of 31.9 %
