Abstract:
In the present study a trial was made to examine differentsamples of diseased as well as apparently normal (140)chickens, (140) ducks, (140) geese and turkeys (140) at one-day-old and 45-days-old to investigate mycoplasma species. There are variation in the prevalence rate of mycoplasmaspecies isolated from apparently chickens at age one-day-oldand 45-days-old which lower (20%, 22.8% respectively) thanthat of diseased chickens (45.7%, 57.14% respectively). Meanwhile the rate of mycoplasma species isolated from 35tracheae, 35 airsacs, 35 lungs and 35 liver of apparently normalchickens at one-day-old were (11.4%, 20%, 14.2& %and 0%respectively) which lower than that of diseased chickens (25.7%, 42.8%, 28.5% and 0% respectively). While the rate ofmycoplasma species isolated from 35tracheae, 35 airsacs, 35lungs and 35 liver of apparently normal chickens at 45-days-oldwere (11.4%, 17.1 %, 8.5% and 2.8% respectively which lowerthan that of diseased chickens (34.3%, 51.4%, 28.5% and 2.8%respectively). Among apparently normal chicks at one-day-oldM.qa/linarum was the most predominant species thenM.ga/lisepticum, while in diseased chicks at -one- day -oldM.ga/lisepticum was the most predominant species thenM.ga/linarum.Mean while in chickens at 45-days-old, apparently normal and diseased M.gallisepticum was the mostpredominant species. The rate of the isolated mycoplasma species from theapparently normal ducks at age one-day-old & 45-days-old lower (17.14%, 17.14% respectively) than that of diseasedducks (40%, 42.8% respectively). While the rate of mycoplasma specis isolated from 35tracheae, 35 airsacs, 35lungs , and 35 liver of apparently normal ducks at age of one-
