In addition, the present work was conducted to throw a light onthe possible effects of the etherial extract ofNigella sativa L on the immuneresponse of chickens infected with Salmonella typhimurium. Two hundreds, one day old, Hubbard broiler chicks were divided intofour equal groups. The first group was left as a control. The second groupwas treated with the etherial extract ofNigella sativa L (100 mg/kg b.wt.)orally for 7 successive days to 4 days old chicks.
