Coccidial parasites of domestic ated geese

Abstract:
Examination of 425 geese from different localities in Dakahlia Govemorate during a period extended from May, 1993 till April 1994 revealed that 25.88% were infected with coccidiosis.The seasonal incidence of coccidiosis among geese were 6.57%,25.74%, 28.02% and 23.58%, in summer, autumn, winter and spring respecti vel y.Dynamics of susceptibility of juvenile and adult geese to infection with coccidiosis was 28.20% in juvenile and 24.53% in adult.The incidence of renal intestinal and mixed coccidiosis ill geese were 5.88%, 13.41 % and 6.58% respecitvely.Prevalence of E.truncata among juvenile and adult geese were 28.20% and 3.34% respectively.Five species of coccidia were detected in the examined geese one renal; E.truncata and four intestinal; E.nocens, E.anseris, E.stigmosa andTyzzeria parvula. With the ratio of 12.27%, 7.52%, 5.64%, 4.94% and16.70% respectively.
