Abstract:
In the present study seven vaccines were prepared” •. Vaccine No.l C. perfringens types Band D toxoid•Vaccine No.2 C. pseudotuberculosis bacterin.•Vaccine No.3 C. pseudotuberculosis toxoid• Vaccine NoA C. pseudotuberculosis whole culture (bacterin +toxoid)• Vaccine No.5 C. perfringens types B and D+C. pseudotuberculosis bacterin•Vaccine No.6 C.perfringenstypes B and D + C. pseudotuberculosis toxoi• Vaccine No.7 C. perfringens types B and D + C. pseudotuberculosis whole culture.These vaccines were evaluated in guinea pigs, rabbits and sheep.For measuring the potency of C. pseudotuberculosis, serum samples ofguinea pigs were collected and subjected to double immunodiffusion test and micro agglutination test, at the same time all vaccinated guinea pigs and control group were challenged with C. ovis cells.The immunodiffusion that doubletest - showedC. pseudotuberculosis antibodies were detected in sera of all vaccinatedguinea pigs. Titre of microagglutination test was variable in sera of different vaccinated group and showed highest titre 1/150 in vaccineNo.3 (c. pseudotuberculosis toxoid), while the lowest titre was obtained
