Abstract:
rats were divided into 5 groups, to study the effect of Royal Jelly, Ginseng or Vit. C. on some serum and tissue (brain, liver & kidney) biochemical parameters related to aging in aged female rats (group 2, 3& 4), while the I §! and S!l! groups used as aged and adult controlsrespectively, they recieved physiological saline 0.90/0 s.c. The treated animals were injected a daily dose of royal jelly (50 mg/kg b.wt.),Ginseng (2S1l1g/kg b.wt) or Vie C (180Illg/kg b.wt) respectively for 10days subcutaneously. Rats were fasted overnight and 24 hs after the last injection, serum and tissue samples were taken and prepared for determination of the following parameters: Serum total cholesterol, triglycerides, IIDI,-cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, glucose, total calcium and inorganic phosphorus concentrations.
