Abstract:
I Regarding the epizotiological investigation of theileriosis in Gharbia Governo:cate, the follo-wing points were studied : 1 - Prevalence and distribution of the disease was studied in 6 herds in Tanta, El-Santa, and Zifta, 1687 animals (759 buffaloes and 928 cows) outof them 306 animals had showed clinical signs of theileriosis and 1381 were apparently normal. The examination of these animals during March 1987 to April 1989 both clinically and parasito-logically revealed that there was no significant variation in the Governorate. different Also this that the in that local i ties in Gharbia study revealed prevalence time. of theileiosis was 3.02% 2- Clinical findings of eye affection in the the disease were fever, form of occular discharge,enlargment variablecongunctivities, and of the superficial karatitis, and lymph nodes with.
