Abstract:
In view of the antioxidant properties of riboflavin, effects of sufficient and inadequate doses of riboflavin on SOD (hepatic antioxidant enzyme), GSH (erythrothytic antioxidant enzyme) and lipid peroxidation were investegated in the present study:F or doing such work, a total of 72 female rats were purchassed fromfaculty of veterinary medicine colony at Zagazig, rats was divided intothree groups:l- First group : riboflavin - sufficient group (control group).Il- Second group: riboflavin - deficient group.Ill- Third group: riboflavin - deficient group.rCozn oil was boiled)Plasma, blood and liver samples were collected from 8 rats from eachgroup every week .for determination of plasma rythrocyte and Hepatic• lipid peroxides, Hepatic superoxide dismutase and erythrocyte reducedglutathione. The gained results were statistically analysed and represented in 16tables and 15 figures as follows:* Lipid peroxidation:- Sufficient doses of riboflavin did not change the level of lipidperoxides during the three weeks. In all groups.
