Abstract:
In this study, the effects of exposure to copper sulphate inconcentration of (20 & 40 ppm) and Bayluscide (1 & 2 ppm) on liverkidney functions of clarias lazera as well as the effects on some serumelectrolytes were studied. Special emphasis was directeJ for estimatingtheir residues in muscles of catfish together with the histtopathologicalchamges. The results are summarized as follows:1- Copper Sulphate:Biochemical effects :On liver function parameters:The exposure of catfish to low concentration of copper sulphatefor one week resulted in a significant increase in serum AST activityafter 2 and 7 day of exposure together with a significant increase afterI and 3 day post exposure. On exposure to high concentration ofcopper sulphate (40 ppm), the serum AST activity resulted in asignificant increase after 3 and 7 day of exposure as well as after 1and 2 day post exposure. On the same ground, serum AL T activity exhibited a significantelevation after the first 3 day of exposure as well as after 1 day postexposure for Iow concentration and after 3 day for high concentration.011 kidney function parameters:Copper sulphate (20 ppm) revealed a significant elevation ofserum urea after the entire period of exposure as well as after the 2nd3rd day post exposure. Similar results were obtained with the high
